HI, I'M RIO
I am a Coterminal Masters Student at Stanford studying Mechanical Engineering with a depth in Material and Stress Analysis. I will graduate in June 2024 and I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering with distinction in June 2022.
I just completed an internship at Zipline, where I prototyped and conducted strength and flutter analysis on composite structures to inform component sizing and lay-up schedules for a fixed-wing drone. I really enjoyed getting a chance to refine my approach to analysis and learn about working with composites (both hands on and analytically). Going forward, I am especially excited about opportunities to further my analysis skills and incorporate them more directly into design work.
In the fall I am looking forward to being a course assistant for CME100 ACE (Vector Calculus for Engineers, Additional Calculus for Engineers). In my free time you can also find me social dancing, exploring gardens, and baking.
